SYNOPSIS: On December 21, 1967, a mysterious stranger arrives in a small southern town. Branded a hobo, he has come to town hidden in a boxcar of a freight train. Mistaken for a drunkard, he is taken to the county jail. Once there, and found to be ill instead, he is transferred to the town’s hospital where a young doctor discovers that, although he is certainly ill, he cannot persuade the powers-that-be to accept a stranger into their hospital. With nowhere to go, the pastor of the town's church takes him in, much to the disdain of his socialite wife and several of her peers.

Is he just another untimely inconvenience for the townspeople, or has he come to bring a seasonal message?

TWO LITTLE MOSSADS - FRANK J. DELLIPOALO
PRICE: $150,000. +1.75%
GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE: Teen brothers from Sderot, Israel, survive a rocket attack and are then thrust into the world of Mossad. The brothers are sent to Iran, where they uncover an imminent nuclear threat against Tel Aviv.
SYNOPSIS: Israeli teens, Daiki and his brother Aaron, reside in Sderot, Israel, a city near the Gaza border. They assist in the family bakery, run by their father, retired IDF Colonel Yusef Weiss. One morning, before the city stirs to life, Hamas rockets penetrate Israeli airspace. The ensuing explosion devastates the bakery, and the teens tragically lose their family in the attack.
Determined to combat Hamas, but too young to enlist in the military, the brothers concoct their own strategy, a move that endangers their lives.
Colonel Akiv, an IDF officer, notices the brothers' initiative and introduces them to Mossad, Israel's National Intelligence Agency. Despite their youth, Daiki and Aaron undergo grueling training, showcasing their resilience. Their training is abruptly halted, as Mossad needs to infiltrate them into Iran before its national census.
Upon arrival in Iran, they adopt new identities: Kir (for Daiki) and Rahim (for Aaron). They find refuge in a safe house south of Tehran where Saburo, a Mossad Field Intel Officer, equips them with instructions and communication tools.
Unexpectedly, the Iranian military recognizes Kir and Rahim's potential and drafts them. After enduring boot camp, they receive an assignment. While on duty, Kir heroically saves an IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) officer, Colonel Kahn, and as a reward, both brothers are tasked with guarding a confidential IRGC facility.
While on duty, Rahim stumbles upon a modified Iraqi Airways 737, its cargo bay transformed into a bomb bay. Additionally, a stealth application, designed to avoid radar detection, is noted. Kir's investigation later exposes a Soviet RN-28 nuclear gravity bomb, and they promptly alert Saburo.
Chaos ensues when an extremist detonates a device at the facility. With the situation escalating and the site under lockdown for investigation, Saburo advises the brothers to return to Israel for their safety.
Simultaneously, the re-engineered airplane is loaded with the nuclear weapon. Iranian pilots, Moshen and Kaveh, are briefed on the newly installed "Auto Flight" system that negates human interference. As the plot unfurls, Moshen discloses the aircraft's mission to Tel Aviv. However, a twist reveals Kaveh's true allegiance to Mossad, leading him to divert the plane's course.
In Tel Aviv, military leaders convene at "The Pit" in Kirya Military Headquarters. The impending crisis instigates discussions about "Operation Lion's Claw," a proposed tactical nuclear counter-strike against Iran.
Cruising at 30,000 feet, Kaveh makes the harrowing decision to ditch the fuel and guide the 737 into the Mediterranean Sea, averting a catastrophe in Tel Aviv. In the plane's final moments, Israel's Prime Minister communicates with Kaveh, acknowledging the immense sacrifice he's about to make.
The nuclear detonation off the coast of Cyprus marks a grim climax.
As they fly home aboard a C-5, the brothers, now known as Kir and Rahim, are updated about the explosion. A weary Kir reflects on their journey, musing to Rahim that perhaps fate had a plan for them all along.

TERRIBLE TILLY - FRANK J. DELLIPOALO
PRICE: 75,000 +.75%
GENRE: Adventure
LOGLINE: The story of three friends, an abandoned lighthouse, and a tsunami.
SYNOPSIS:
Siblings Olive and Wyatt Conner, along with their friend Tommy, all in their 20s and military brats, begin a rafting trip to the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse off the Oregon coast, despite local surfers' tales. Once on the rock, the weather changes, stranding them overnight.
The next morning, Tommy and Wyatt discover a shipping container on the rocks. Tommy is excited about a potential windfall, while Wyatt has doubts. Olive jokingly suggests it might be full of snakes. When they open the container, they find it filled with Asian Murder Hornets instead of Nike shoes or electronics.
Olive, Wyatt, and Tommy take refuge in the lighthouse tower to avoid the hornets. Meanwhile, earth tremors shake the lighthouse, but Tommy and Wyatt are undeterred from exploring a secret tunnel in the rock, much to Olive's dismay. In the tunnel, they find a secret room and, as the tremors intensify, Wyatt speculates they might be due to US Navy military drills. They discover an old Bible and the headless skeletal remains in a tattered Japanese WW2 uniform, which terrifies Tommy. But before Wyatt can investigate further, the tunnel begins to flood, and they barely escape.
Outside, the hornets remain a problem. Tommy sees an opportunity to close the container door, but as he does so, an earth tremor sends the container, with Tommy on it, into the Pacific's current.
Wyatt and Olive's rescue plan fails, and Tommy drifts out to sea. Olive prays while Wyatt does not. With no other options, Olive calls her father, Admiral Martin Conner of the USS George Washington strike group, on a satellite phone. A US Navy Rescue Helicopter is dispatched before a developing tsunami hits the lighthouse.
Olive is rescued, but the rescue basket carrying Wyatt snaps, dropping him in front of the tsunami. There's no time for a second attempt. The eighty-foot tsunami engulfs Wyatt, leaving Olive devastated.
The mission turns from rescue to recovery. After an extensive search, the pilot spots Tommy and Wyatt alive in the trees on the Oregon coast.
Admiral Conner, overjoyed that his son Wyatt survived, reconsiders his decision to prevent him from joining the US SEALs. He tells Wyatt that anyone who can survive an eighty-foot tsunami is certainly SEAL material.
In the aftermath, the US Navy discovers eight more shipping containers filled with hornets. The Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) collects the containers, applies C-4 explosives, and incinerates them, leaving dead hornets floating on the sea's surface.
However, two worker hornets and a queen are found alive, seen crawling in the sand of Indian Beach.

BRIDGES - Oscar Calix
LOGLINE: In the impoverished Salvadorian village, Colonia Ista, fate intertwines two young kids as they attempt to escape the violence of gangs and the terror of supernatural forces for the American dream.
GENRE: Fantasy/ Coming-of-age
SYNOPSIS: Bridges is structured as a triptych of overlapping narratives. Mainly, it revolves around Salvadorian teenagers Alma and Ruyi and their struggles with growing up in impoverished Colonia Ista, El Salvador: between the vicious violence of gangs, the sporadic, yet, familiar supernatural occurrences, and their broken homes, they understand, that they must risk and journey to America for a better life, not just for them but for their children and family. The film begins with a quote by Frederich Nietzsche, which encapsulates the main theme of the film, "Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman——a rope over an abyss...What is great about man is that he is a bridge and not an end”. This quote encapsulates the immigrant mentality, which is, they risk everything for their kids to have a better life than them—each generation being better than the one before. The film begins with an older Hispanic celebrating their daughter's graduation from University. (Opening Image)
Antonella, Alma's older sister, leaves for America at the beginning of Bridges. Their mother, Doña Clarissa, is reticent as Alma is hysterical, pleading for her to stay. The Alma chapters jump through six months after Antonella's departure, and still, they have heard nothing from her. Doña Clarissa and Alma have swapped. Alma is reticent while Doña Clarissa begins to dive into a maddening depression forcing Alma to grow up faster than natural. Ruyi’s story begins with him and his older brother, Tomaz’s, relationship with their father, Don Tomaz, a plain-old brute, has lived a life that will leave most people stunted and empty, but alas is no excuse. At one of the local soccer games, Tomaz is stabbed and killed by gangbangers who had a run-in with Ruyi and Tomaz earlier.(Introduction to protagonist and Inciting Incident)
Ruyi never goes back home after losing his brother as his dad once told them, “I would rather have two dead sons than know one of them left the other side". Ruyi, as with Alma, is forced to grow up earlier than is healthy; both are forced to become adults. During these chapters, both Alma and Ruyi have encounters with supernatural entities, highlighting the idea of what the physical area of Colonia Ista does to the psyche; it’s a place where religion is what gets people through the tough times and as we know if God exists then so does a Devil. The supernatural elements of the film also serve as a way to formulate the idea of “man being a rope tied between beast and overman.” The gangs are the beast more so than the actual beasts in the film or equivalent in some cases. (Break into two)
The third narrative is the story of Chiqui. The film cuts to El Mozote, El Salvador, in 1981 during The Massacre of El Mozote. We follow her journey of getting deported from America and getting caught up with the gangs in El Salvador. During this chapter, we see how the gangs operate. The brainwashing they conduct on kids, the scare tactics, and the rules they live by; while also providing historical context to the genesis of gang culture in El Salvador. (Midpoint)
Alma is dealing with the rapid deterioration of her mother as she suffers from not knowing where her daughter is and Ruyi with the danger of leaving on the street and crippling isolation. After meeting, randomly, Alma and Ruyi develop a relationship and find solace in each other. They decide to make the trek to America, but not before a final confrontation with Chiqui, the gang bangers, and the evil spirits of Colonia Ista. (Low point and break into 3)
They escape and begin their journey to America, however, the actual ending is the first scene of the movie, which is an older version of Alma and Ruyi watching their daughter graduate from college— encapsulating the idea of the immigrant story, to go through intense suffering for the betterment of the next generation. (Climax/Resolution)

They walk along the train tracks until they stumble upon an abandoned train graveyard, where a light shines from one of the cars. Intrigued, they decide to enter. Here, we flash forward to Tommy 20 years later, but he is now a complete shell of the Tommy we just got to know. We witness his deteriorating living condition and his father, Tommy Sr., who is starting to struggle with his memory. Tommy begins to experience visions of the train yard, Casey, and a shadowed man as he tries to fall asleep. He cannot grasp the significance of these images as he has blocked them out. However, that night he receives a phone call revealing that Casey has committed suicide. Memories start flooding back, and he realizes he must remember. Determined to pay his respects, he decides to return home for his friend's funeral.
ACT 2
The second act revolves around Tommy and his father, who find themselves trapped together in the car, embarking on a journey into the past. Along the way, they encounter a diverse range of people from various backgrounds, each with their own stories, some inspiring and others tragic. As they draw nearer to their destination, Tommy Sr. becomes increasingly anxious about the journey, his memory failing him and his distress intensifying to the extent that he disappears into the woods of a motel on a snowy night. Jr. is left with no choice but to venture into the woods in search of his father.
ACT 3
The men finally arrive, driving down the same road depicted in the opening scene with young Tommy and Casey. The once vibrant main strip now appears desolate and barren, mirroring the changes that have occurred in both the town and Tommy Jr.'s life. Upon reaching their motel, they realize they lack appropriate clothing for the upcoming funeral, which is mere hours away. They make their way to a small Salvation Army, where they encounter a local resident who curses Tommy Sr. and urges him to leave.
Eventually, the men arrive at the funeral, and Casey's mother immediately captures their attention. Tommy Jr. shares a brief but intense moment of eye contact with her before she quickly looks away. During the funeral, Tommy experiences yet another vision. When he awakens, his father and the other attendees have vanished, leaving Casey's mother sitting alone in the front row. It is here that she reveals the truth about what happened on that fateful day.
According to her account, the two boys ventured into the train yard and encountered a man who sat with them, imparting valuable life lessons. When Tommy Sr. and his friends discovered the boys with this man, they brutally killed him due to his status as an outcast. Casey's mother discloses the whereabouts of Tommy's father, prompting Tommy to embark on a journey down the tracks.
As he walks, memories flood back, accompanied by the gentle descent of snowflakes. Tommy now recalls everything, and as he gazes upon the train yard, he notices a light emanating from one of the cars.
