GENRE: Horror/Thriller

LOGLINE: A bookish forensic ballistics analyst, shackled to a moving target inside a shooting range, must escape an unknown accuser's interrogation, where each incorrect response moves him closer to a tripwire-activated gun aimed at his head.

SYNOPSIS:

The story is about Harper, a forensic ballistics savant in his 40s and a socially anxious single father, who has escaped domestic violence perpetrated by a female.

In the opening, Harper expertly solves a brutal crime with the aid of his colleagues: Layna, a forensic identification specialist in her 20s who is herself a sufferer of spousal abuse, and Kerensky, a detective in his 50s struggling to maintain relevance in a changing world. Returning home, Harper interacts with his 15-year-old daughter, Alexia, disapproving of her relationship with a new boyfriend.

That night, after smoking prescribed marijuana to calm his anxiety, he inexplicably wakes up shackled to a moving target inside an abandoned shooting range, chained and duct-taped, with both hands zip-tied behind his back.

A mysterious silhouette inside the control room, known as the Range Master, proceeds to interrogate Harper over a loudspeaker, demanding a confession for an undisclosed wrongdoing. With each incorrect response, Harper is forcibly moved forward in 10-meter increments, bringing him closer to a shotgun contraption tripwired to blow his head off.

As he desperately navigates the Range Master's questioning, Layna and Kerensky launch a twisty investigation to locate him. They ultimately discover that the Range Master is Belmont, a man recently freed from prison after serving 15 years for a wrongful conviction based on Harper's ballistics testimony.

As Belmont raises the stakes, introducing Alexia as another captive, Layna and Kerensky race against time to rescue them both before it's too late. In the pulse-pounding climax, shocking secrets are revealed as Harper uses his ingenuity to escape the trap. He learns that Belmont committed suicide after his release, and that his vengeful 19-year-old daughter, Jade, is the antagonist.
