GENRE: Drama/Thrillers

LOGLINE: A woman wakes up from a coma with no memories, as she recovers she suspects her husband isn't all that he appears to be

SYNOPSIS: Keira Stone, a lesbian struggling writer and low-level journalist, is driving through Otter’s Creek while on the phone with her publicist, Erik Barnes. Barnes tells Keira that he won’t be accepting either her new thriller story or her news story, stating that she lacks a name. Keira and Barnes argue over how to establish such a name, with Barnes being arrogant and unhelpful despite his industry knowledge. Keira, not paying attention to the road, drives into an oncoming car.

Three months later, Gabby Miller wakes up to the news that she was the other crash victim, which killed a woman of similar appearance named Keira Stone. Gabby, suffering from amnesia due to the crash, cannot recall anything. Her husband, Owen, attempts to approach her, but she rejects him at first, feeling afraid and confused. Slowly, with the help of medical staff, they help Gabby reconnect with her husband.

Owen and Gabby attempt to reconnect, but struggle to restore her memories. Gabby tries to resume her old life and hobbies but finds it difficult to connect with them. To make matters worse, she struggles to find pleasure in being intimate with Owen, often thinking about women instead. Owen encourages Gabby to act like her old self just as Special Agent Robert Stafford from the FBI starts investigating the crash, as the other car belonged to a Federal Judge’s sister named Dianne Wickens. Owen becomes hostile towards Stafford, who upsets Gabby by pushing her to remember her inability to recall the events. Owen goes to comfort his wife.

In Winter’s Harbour, across the water from Bar Harbour, journalist Briana Hayden, working on a missing woman’s case involving Victoria Cooper, spots an obituary for Keira Stone, who bears a resemblance to Victoria Cooper. She calls Bar Harbour and speaks initially to the deputy before being transferred to Special Agent Stafford. Stafford informs her that it's an ongoing case and cannot share details at the moment. Hayden believes she might have information relevant to their cases and asks if they can meet in person. Stafford agrees to meet her in Winter Harbour.

Gabby, wanting to please Owen, looks into her own history and discovers that she has a different medical history from her previous self, leaving her with questions. When speaking to an old family friend named Brock Chase, she finds it odd that she is suddenly a lesbian, as she was previously borderline homophobic. After a disagreement between Gabby, Brock, and Owen during a car ride home, Gabby asserts her adulthood and storms off to the attic. There, she discovers items belonging to another woman named Vicky.

Stafford dismisses Hayden, who returns to working on her own. Stafford tries to bring Gabby to the station, but Owen hides her. Over the next day, Owen becomes distant and tries to confine Gabby to their home. Gabby escapes to town, where Owen has restricted her medical options by telling the hospital she is paranoid. In town, Gabby reconnects with an old friend of Keira’s named Mikayla and the two become intimate after Mikayla reads Hayden’s story. Mikayla becomes convinced that Gabby is Keira and collaborates with Hayden to uncover the truth.

Tension and hostility grow between Gabby and Owen as Stafford continues to search for Gabby. Mikayla visits Gabby while Owen is at the hospital, intending to help her escape. Owen discovers Hayden's investigation and kills her before she can send evidence to Stafford. Simultaneously, Mikayla convinces Gabby that she is actually Keira, prompting Gabby to call Stafford for help as Owen returns armed and dangerous. Gabby confronts Owen and manages to wound him before escaping with Mikayla. Owen is arrested, and the bodies of Victoria and Dianne, who was disguised as Keira at the start, are found. Keira's accounts of the events are published, and she and Mikayla, who have been dating for a year, get married, declaring themselves perfect wives.
