Wesley Brown, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student, and Angel Morgan, a ballet dancer, reignite the companionship they shared as childhood friends and embark on a romantic relationship shortly after Angel breaks up with her high school boyfriend, David, who is involved in drug trafficking and owns the basketball team.
While Wesley works part-time as a cleaner at the Ballet Arena where Angel practices ballet with her friends Princess, Eva, and Faith, he sings a song called "Hey Angel - One Direction" on his way to the arena, catching Angel's attention. Despite this pleasant moment, Wesley's morning takes a negative turn when David's friends, Calvin, Mike, and Maxwell, who dislike Wesley and his friends Theo, Chris, and Leslie, disrupt his day.
