STORM & BERRY: OUTBREAK IN WHITEHOUSE
PRICE: $100,000
GENRE: Family
LOGLINE: The storm hognose snake is enlisted by the terrorists to track his longtime rival, their lab guinea pig, Berry, and hinder his attempts to stop an outbreak of a bioweapon virus in the White House to rescue the first family of the United States.
SYNOPSIS: Storm, the harmless snake, and Dozer, the dog, are caught by an animal control officer after being mistaken for stray pets chasing each other one week before the inauguration of the United States President. However, they are bought by a Korean terrorist named Cho, who owns a secret genetic underground research facility in Washington called Crown. Storm is enlisted as lab security to look after the lab guinea pig, Berry, who has attempted to escape from the lab several times, while Dozer is enrolled as the carrier of the B&D-Virus, a highly contagious virus transmitted by respiratory droplets and fomites. Dozer is injected with the virus, which becomes active after one week and can infect any living creature he licks. The newly elected President, Eric Goldberg’s dog, Fun, is poisoned. The first lady's nanny, Sarah, is influenced by Chief of Staff at the White House, Rowan Price, to prompt the mute president's daughter, Celine, to ask her mother, Jessica, for a pet dog as soon as they move into the White House.
Rowan Price, a sleeper working with Korean terrorist Chao, plans to take down the White House after the inauguration using a bioweapon. Dozer is handed over to Cho's associate who works at ASPCA in Washington so that he may be sold to the first family when they settle in the White House. Learning about the plan to cause an outbreak in the White House, Berry escapes from the lab with the cure. Chao orders Storm to trace Berry and retrieve the stolen cure. As the White House staff prepares for the moving in of the first family, Chief of Staff Betty Moon wants to make a good impression on the first family to have her tenure extended. Unfortunately, the first family requests her departure less than an hour before the official presidential changeover.
Berry encounters Betty, who has lost her job. Berry gives Betty the real cure to keep it safe for him and promises her that it is her ticket to return to the White House. Berry sneaks into the White House as the residence staff soldier on without Betty. Bill Heart spots Berry and alerts other staff about the guinea pig in the White House. Storm fails to break in and tries more strategies to enter the White House and catch Berry. Storm is rescued by James, the garden boy, from the guard dogs. James learns of Berry causing havoc in the White House and presents Storm to the staff hoping he can be the best solution to terminate Berry, but instead, more damage is done, including the Goldberg family photos being scattered and the family's favorite food being destroyed in the kitchen.
The first family arrives at the chaotic White House, and the staff is accused of sabotage. The new Chief of Staff, Rowan Hard, replaces the staff with his own and brings in Cho and his comrades disguised as the new staff. A welcome party is arranged shortly after the White House is restored to order. Berry appears at the party to warn Celine. However, Storm finally catches Berry after a big chase, which ruins the party. Cho retrieves the vaccine from Berry. Berry is then saved by Celine from being harmed by Storm. Celine tells Storm and Berry to get along if they want to stay in the White House. Jessica buys Dozer as directed by Rowan to replace Fun. Berry warns Celine to stay away from Dozer.
Celine is naturally immune, but Sarah feels slightly ill and has to be hospitalized when she develops petechiae. Back in the White House, Dozer, being asymptomatic, sheds the virus in his excreta, which quickly mutates into a strain capable of person-to-person transmission, causing several staff members to be infected. Their illness is investigated by Dr. John Brick, a CDC scientist and Betty's ex-husband. Department of Homeland Security representatives meet with Dr. Terrence Bee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) over concerns that the disease may be a bioweapon as the novel virus spreads around the White House. The first family is infected except for Celine.
The authorities and CDC quarantine the building, not allowing anyone to leave. Four heavily armed officers arrive to administer drugs to the first family. Learning of the news, Betty sneaks to the hospital and seeks John’s help to have a pass to the White House. John doubts Betty, fearing to put his work in danger. Betty uses the cure on Sarah to convince John. At the CDC, the doctors determine the vector is a guinea pig, putting Berry as the prime suspect. Storm is assigned to catch Berry by the CDC officers. However, Rowan and Cho attempt to kill Dozer and lock him in storage to hide the real carrier. Rowan and Cho, who are also infected, try to secretly cure themselves so they can take control of the White House. They learn that the cure is fake and Berry is the only one who knows where the real cure is.
While John and his colleagues work on the vaccine, Sarah is cured. Betty is given a pass to the White House disguised as a CDC officer. Storm traps Berry and takes him to the CDC officers. Working as a double agent, Storm is tasked to bring Berry to Rowan and Cho to be interrogated about the whereabouts of the original cure. Berry escapes and hides in the storage where he encounters Dozer. Betty sneaks into the White House before she cures the first family. Rowan and Cho interrupt the process at gunpoint, taking the CDC officers and the first family hostage. They expose themselves as the main perpetrators behind the bioweapon and reveal that they have been sent to kill the president by the Vice President, Mr. Smith, a former scientist at The U.S. Army Biological Warfare Laboratories. He wants to resurrect the laboratories and their discontinued projects and attack all the nations that sheltered the terrorists who killed his family.
Dozer and Berry intervene. Dozer attacks Rowan while Storm, tired of being controlled by Cho, helps Berry to defeat Cho. The CDC officers overpower Rowan and Cho. The first family is cured, while Rowan and Cho are sent to prison.
In the aftermath, Dozer is no longer a vector. Betty and her staff get their jobs back. However, after a big feast celebrating the victory over the bioweapon outbreak, Storm, Berry, and Dozer chase each other after a bone, ending up in the gardens where they are forced to go their separate ways from the guard dogs.
