However, the judges rudely reject and embarrass him, causing Jeff to angrily retreat home. The Metal recalls a past engineering project involving an electric guitar, and persuades Jeff to seek revenge by returning to the show, where he can demonstrate true talent. This leads to a dramatic and stylized climax, with bloody consequences.
