SYNOPSIS:
Act 1:
Charlie, a young Aussie who moved to Bali to escape any form of serious commitment, is called back home following the gangland killing of his estranged criminal father. He unwittingly saves a woman, Jennifer, who has attempted suicide, only to discover she has an incredible connection to his father's criminal history that ultimately caused her spiral into suicide.
Act 2:
Charlie and Jennifer become more and more romantically involved, and while Charlie struggles to let go of his commitment-free life, Jennifer eventually realizes that Charlie's father is the man she was attempting to bring to justice while working as a prosecution lawyer. Incredibly, it was Charlie who unknowingly caused her legal career to collapse. Jennifer returns to her old boss without telling Charlie. He works out what caused her disappearance and sets out to find her and right the damage.
Act 3:
Just as it happened to Jennifer, Charlie's life spirals down, and he unravels to the point of being a homeless man. He tries to contact Jennifer only to be misinformed that she wants nothing to do with him. He returns home and also tries to take his life. Meanwhile, Jennifer learns about his attempt to contact her to apologize. She goes back to Charlie's outback town and finds him just in time... or did she??
